Flowers and Us

We are all fond of flowers, aren't we?— irrespective of genders, irrespective of ages. There is probably no such person whom flowers can't make happy. Humanity has always had an eye for beauty. We like things that appeal to our eyes. We love humans because they appeal to our souls.

We often gift flowers to the ones we love. We give them flowers because somewhere they are precious flowers in our lives. They make us happy, so we want to make them happy as well. Flowers are a reminder of someone's inner beauty and their valuable presence in our life.

Flowers are always taken as symbols of love and joy which they absolutely are. Roses pressed between pages of an old copy of Pride and Prejudice. Sunflowers kept safe in personal locker. Daisies staining some old notebook. Flowers are witnesses of the love that existed, exists or that will exist. They are here to remind us of the tenderness of life.

Sometimes it's all that a person leaves behind besides memories. A bunch of dried lilies can tell us so much about a lost love. The lilies were once fresh and blooming when love existed between two human beings, with time they grew apart and the lilies dried as well. But it's a strong reminder that the love was once pure.

There is something we don't realize, we are very much like flowers. Perhaps that is the reason we love them so much. Human beings love things that resembles them. Each one of us is a treasured flower. We're different colours. Different types. We are beautiful in our own ways. Flowers dry, humans age. That doesn't mean we're not beautiful. We're all pretty like fragnant little jasmines. Our existence is a miraculous gift in itself. We should start looking at us like we're precious, we should start embracing ourselves the way we are. We're different and we're beautiful.
